FARMERS MARKET BRANDING
CHALLENGE:
For this project the challenge was to look for a local farm and make my own spin on their branding, changing the logo design, making a banner, a display booth for the market that is visible and appealing, create packaging for 2 items they currently sell, and a swag item they could sell with their logo on it.
Solution:
I discovered a farm in Goodwood, Ontario called Silver Heron Farm. Their current logo was taken from a template online. I opted to illustrate a simple, thin line sketch of a heron standing over the word Silver to give the impression of elegance. I used an uppercase, light modern sans-serif font for SILVER, and an uppercase, darker sans-serif of the same font for HERON, and a lower case cursive font for the word farm.
I mocked up what a farmers market tent could look like using their logo on a banner with bold colours of what they sell. I made packaging for their pickles, apple chutney, and alpaca wool dryer balls, and placed their logo on a canvas bag.
