The Enchanted World of Mushrooms
For this project I had to create a coffee table book. I had to come up with my own subject matter, book title, typography selection, design colours, imagery and layout choices for the dust jacket, table of contents, chapter entry spread, and 2 subsequent gallery spreads for that chapter. I really enjoyed working on this project and have a special love of all things to do with nature. For the table of contents I created different sized images to mimic the growth of a cluster of mushrooms. I used different fonts for the chapter numbers as well to mimic the different types of mushrooms. Mushrooms in particular are a really interesting topic for me. Not only are they fascinating to learn about, they also have such a charming presence that are appealing to look at.
