ABC Board Book
CHALLENGE:
The challenge was to create an ABC board book that would not only appeal to a child but also to the adults that read them to their children as they are often the ones who buy the books in the first place.
SOLUTION:
I crafted all the illustrations using Adobe Illustrator and organized the designs and typography in InDesign, selecting insects as my books' topic. With a deep appreciation for nature, I recognize the immense appeal insects have for younger children and adults alike. In these drawings, I aimed to capture intricate details while infusing subtle hints of colour. I envisioned a book design featuring loose sketch drawings complemented by delicate hues. Opting for a neutral green backdrop, I sought to evoke a natural ambiance, reflecting the bugs' habitat. Immensely gratified by this endeavour, I find myself drawn towards further exploration in illustrating children's books.
