About Amber

Born and raised in the suburbs of the Greater Toronto Area, in Whitby, Ontario, Amber spent her weekends exploring Toronto, and camping and hiking her way through the forests and lakes of Northern Ontario. This mix of urban and rural experiences sparked her lifelong love of nature, creativity, and culture.
Amber’s artistic journey began at age eight, when she started sketching, painting, and experimenting with her first camera. That early spark led her to study Creative Photography at Humber College, where she learned medium and large-format film techniques, darkroom processing, and early digital editing in Adobe Photoshop. Furthering her studies in graphic design at George Brown College in Toronto, she became immersed in web design, and advertising. Her curiosity and love for culture later took her to Paris, France, where she spent a year studying French and art while working as an au pair and traveling across Europe, and another year living in Montreal, where she studied at Concordia University. These experiences deepened her appreciation for global perspectives in art and design, and her love of working with children of all ages. Her career has been just as creative and diverse:
In 2021, she returned to school to pursue her Advanced Graphic Design Diploma at Durham College, graduating with honours in 2024. Her internship at Brand Ambition gave her hands-on experience in branding, social media strategy, content creation, and web design. She’s currently completing an Adult Learning Certificate, broadening her skills in teaching, course development, and inclusive learning practices. Today, Amber brings together her love of art, photography, travel, and design to create imaginative, thoughtful work inspired by both nature and human connection. |
